The Honduran Model Forest Network has a knowledge-sharing workshop in Sico-Paulaya


On June 21st and 22nd the Honduran Model Forest Network held a knowledge sharing workshop, organized by the Sico-Paulaya Environment and Production Roundtable (Sico-Paulaya Model Forest or MAPSP) as part of the USAID Project.

Taller Sico , Copen Junio 2015The objective of the event was to share experiences between the MAPSP and other landscape governance platforms, including the Yoro, Atlántida and Olancho Model Forests, as well as government officials, including the Deputy Director of the ICF (National Institute for Conservation, Forestry, Protected Areas and Wildlife) and the National Director of Climate Change. The event consisted of a day-long workshop with various lectures and presentations. Where as the second day, participants and officials engaged with the community of Copén, visiting a local hydro-electrical facility, forestry cooperative and school.
